Whitbread is expanding its Premier Inn and hub by Premier Inn hotel network to the vibrant and strategic locations of Marylebone and Paddington in Central London, where it is developing three new hotels through a combination of freehold and leasehold development and innovative financing. To showcase this exciting expansion, Whitbread partnered with DAKONA to create a series of engaging and fresh videos that tell the positive story of Whitbread’s investment in the heart of London.

Creating a high-quality video requires a significant amount of planning and coordination. In this case, DAKONA developed a strategic plan to meet our client’s needs and objectives, Whitbread. It involved a thorough understanding of the target audience, the desired messaging and tone of the video, and specific requirements or constraints that needed to be considered.

To bring this plan to life, DAKONA had to coordinate various logistics, including arranging a weeks overnight stay in London, filming locations and any necessary permits or approvals. In this case, we also had to submit an Enhanced Non-Standard Flight Application (ENSF) with the National Air Traffic Service (NATS) to fly our drone within London Paddington.

Once all the necessary preparations were in place, the filming could occur. This involved setting up cameras and lighting equipment, directing the contributors, and capturing carefully planned footage. After the filming was complete, we edited the footage, and carried out post-production work to add special effects and graphics, as well as adding music and other audio elements.

Overall, creating the video required a significant amount of planning, coordination, and creative and technical skills to bring the final product to life.

The final product was a hero video and several short-form videos for social media distribution. We are thrilled with the result, and grateful for our client’s trust and support in bringing this project to life.
