E-sgol is an innovative educational initiative dedicated to expanding learning opportunities for students across Wales. By facilitating partnerships between schools, they aim to break down geographical barriers, offering a wider range of subjects and resources to both primary and secondary students.
When E-sgol approached us, they sought to produce a series of high-quality videos to promote their free services to primary schools, secondary schools, and Carlam Cymru. Their goal was to raise awareness about their programs and highlight how they support schools and students without supplying teachers but by enhancing existing educational frameworks. Despite knowing they needed promotional videos, E-sgol was uncertain about how to convey their message effectively. They turned to us to help craft compelling narratives that would resonate with their diverse audiences and showcase the benefits of their programs.
Through creative ideation sessions, we explored various concepts that could bring E-sgol’s services to life. We focused on storytelling that highlighted real student experiences. This process led us to develop tailored treatments for each sector—primary schools, secondary schools, and Carlam Cymru — that not only met but exceeded E-sgol’s expectations.
Things are never simple in the video production world: we had only one day allocated per video and needed to work within school hours rather than traditional 10-hour filming days. We had to find ways to make our film days as efficient as possible; that meant filming in single locations, and finding ways to cheat it to make it seem like we were in multiple!
The final videos were met with enthusiasm and appreciation from E-sgol. They felt that the videos effectively captured the essence of their mission and would serve as powerful tools in promoting their services.
